1. ADVANTAGES OF A SECOND DICTIONARY
There are advantages to having a second dictionary on your hard drive.
If you have ever tried to look up a definition that just did not seem to make sense, or if you were not sure of a definition and wanted a second opinion from another dictionary, then you have experienced some of the reasons why you should have several dictionaries installed on your computer ready for instant access. Any dictionary can be missing some definitions.
Most dictionaries are written by a team, and as a result the quality of the definitions vary. There is also the variation that can be caused by the writer just not understanding a particular definition very well and passing on his confusion to the reader. There can be many reasons why a very good dictionary on occasion just does not meet your expectations for a particular word.
With several dictionaries installed to your computer’s hard drive you can access definitions from several dictionaries easily.
A good second dictionary is the Random House Unabridged Dictionary. This is one of a few dictionaries that will install the text, sound files and graphics to your hard drive for instant access. It is also a very inexpensive American Unabridged dictionary and although it is an unabridged dictionary the definitions are not overly complicated. It costs only $27 from eLearnAid.com (manufacturer list price is $29.95). The definitions contain more data than dictionaries written for non-native speakers or other less advanced dictionaries. There are also more definitions and more words defined. So when you feel you have not found the correct definition, or the definition does not provide enough information to satisfy you, it is a good dictionary to consult.
The Random House Unabridged Dictionary uses a large vocabulary so you might have to look up other words that appear in a definition in order to get a full understanding of the meaning. The solution is took look up such words in a less advanced dictionary. For more information on the best ways to look up words for a full understanding one should read The Basic Study Manual which we can now ship to most Asian and European countries via air for around $13USD.

2. INEXPENSIVE AND FAST SHIPMENT METHODS
We can now ship up via airmail (3 to 6 day delivery) for around $13 to most Asian and European countries (and some others) for a package up to 1.81 kilograms. We just realized that this shipping option could also be used for books. Using this method we can ship one very large book -- for example, the Collins Cobuild 3rd edition can be shipped this way. We can also ship two or three small books for around the same price. Our shipping prices now reflect this method. Choose the shipping method “Int. Air Mail”.
If you would like a book we don’t carry, feel free to let us know. Many of our best selling items were originally special requests we decided to carry. Email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
We also just introduced a new shipping method called “Int. Air CDs” for CDs only. This is the cheapest way to get software on CD or DVDs. We repackage the software securely wrapped in bubble wrap and mail the package to you. If you need something fast you can also use “UPS Worldwide Express”. It is two business days guaranteed to most major cities.
