Using your blender to make sauces, milk shakes and deserts right in the jar.

Blending in a mason jar.

You can blend right in the jar if you use the traditional mouth canning or mason jar. The traditional one is on the right in the picture. The one on the left is the wide mouth jar and will not fit. Many blenders will take the traditional mouth canning jar. Some food comes in jars that fit. For example mayonnaise jars and Really Raw Honey in the one pound size. The thread are very far apart.

Just unscrew the blades and base from the blending bowl that come with your blender and screw the blades and base into the canning jar. When you are done you can screw a lid on the jar and store whatever you have made.

Also if you fill the food almost to the top of the jar and then screw the blender blades and base there is less foam and less oxidation.

My favorite is a milk shake made with raw milk, apples, cinnamon and vanilla! Yummy!!!
