Hybrid battery module for Prius 2004 +, Camry Hybrid 2007+, Lexus Hybrid,
These are hybrid battery module with high mileage that are good for short term repairs. We have reconditioned them and their internal resistance is less the 19/1000 of an ohm and they have a low self discharge rate.
For 2009 and earlier Toyota packs most of the failures involve one modules because of a failure of one of the six cells in the module. By replacing the failed modules you can usually get another 1 to 18 months out of your pack. Eventually you will want to replace the entire pack but if you can not afford to replace, rebuilding the pack can be a good option.
When you do replace the entire pack we recommend you get a new one from Toyota (They really are new were verified the production date as not more than 6 months old and Toyota does not let a dealer keep a pack in inventory for long) or a low mileage junk yard pack. For the 2001 to 2003 the packs have been improved so they do not leak and have the latest chemistry improvements ( (less impurities so individual cells do not fail, higher energy density). For the 2004 and above the packs have the latest technology better connecting nuts, metal plated outside for better heat conductivity and two connections between cells..
